The Purple Heart you see at right was earned by the Marine above and placed by him here.

Every time they move the traveling wall, they hold a Purple Heart ceremony. 

A Vietnam Veteran places a Purple Heart in the apex and at the base before the Wall is erected. 

It is a very beautiful and emotional event and one that should not be missed.
